Statement

I photograph the quiet moment just after the pose breaks — the breath, the half-smile, the hand that forgets it is being watched. Light does the describing; I only decide when to stop it. Every frame I make is an argument that the ordinary, seen properly, is worth keeping.

About

I photograph cities at street level.Buildings met from the pavement rather than the brochure, a high street under steady rain, the hour when a canal stops being water and becomes a mirror.Mostly on foot, mostly alone, and mostly waiting for the weather to commit to something.I work in small numbers. Eleven frames that mean something beat six hundred that do not.

Process

  1. Step 01

    Consult

We talk before anything is booked — what the pictures are for, who they are for, and what you want them to feel like. Usually a call and a few reference images.

  2. Step 02

    Plan

I come back with a treatment: locations, light, a shot list, and a schedule built around the hour the light is right rather than the hour that is convenient.

  3. Step 03

    Shoot

On the day I work quietly and keep the set small. You will be directed when it helps and left alone when it does not.

  4. Step 04

    Deliver

A first edit within ten days, a gallery of finished frames within three weeks, and full usage rights for everything you have commissioned.
